Frequently asked questions
Can I start from a number other than 1?
Yes — set "Start at" to any number, for example 5 for a chapter that continues another file.
Can I skip the cover page?
Yes — tick "Don't number the first page". Numbering then starts on page 2.
Which positions and formats are available?
Top or bottom, left, centre or right; formats "1", "Page 1", "1 / 10" and "Page 1 of 10".
What about rotated (landscape) pages?
Numbers are placed the right way up on rotated pages too.
Do the numbers change my existing content?
No. The numbers are added on top of each page; the text, images and links underneath stay exactly as they were.
